Commodore John Paul Jones, aptly made a jaguar, and Commodore of the American Naval Forces of Devia. He is the aforementioned “Commodore Jones” that Bethy and Siman mentioned to Fox for a position in the Navy.
I knew that Jones would be a jungle cat of some sort… but I settled on the jaguar, not only for the name and how it slung together with the Js of his name but because of the jungle cats jaguars are the thickest and most fearsomely built. Their bodies are much beefier than the Leopard or Ocelot by leaps and bounds.
