- "Oh, thanks Max for the invitation to the new town buffet.
- You're welcome, it's your birthday after all.
- I hope you're really starving," says John impatiently, "because I think I could gobble it all up.
- You bet.
- And then we'll make ourselves beautiful. You'll see how well it turns out."
Max glared at Sergeant Wolf, into the green of his eyes.
- You'd think you were going to eat me alive," Max said.
- If I could, I would.
- I bet you couldn't even eat a fifth of the buffet!
- I dare us to eat at least half. Dare?"

THE BUFFET : AFTER

- "Say," says Max. "It's a good thing you picked a 7XL! If not, with our shredded clothes, we could have been walking bare naked through the streets!
- You didn't think I wasn't going to taste everything, did you? I always taste everything in this type of buffet.
- But there must have been at least 60 different dishes?!
- 62 to be precise," retorted John, as if his life depended on it! It's a good thing you only had one of each...
- ...Unlike you, who took at least two, and let's not even mention the desserts and all sorts of sweets."
Sergeant Wolf slipped his right hand down the back of the cozy wolf Max had become, then put it on his shoulder while pressing him to his stomach. The young wolf grinned from ear to ear.
- You see, I promised to make you cute. And here's the result: you could be a model or on the cover of some magazine.
- Stop it, Sergeant Wolf, you're making me blush."
And indeed the chubby wolf's cheeks were blushing visibly, as was the brownish werewolf.
- "And if not, you're not too tight?
- I wouldn't advise looking underneath, Max continued the end of his sentence in a low voice, I've got a hole as big as my fist..."
John slapped the canine's fleshy hindquarters. He yelped, and his displeasure turned into an accompanied laugh from the man who only had the title of Sergeant for his caring nature.
- "Let's go home!"
