Alright, getting tired. Levels don’t deal with that, there’s no Stamina score to recharge, but there’s only one more door to this level. And of course, as a little climax mini boss- our first double ghost combat.
Tricky. They’re mobile too, they can float right at me on the ceiling, and I don’t want to get cursed. So it’s all web and arrows, swinging and kiting. Alright, maybe “swinging” is the wrong word. Falling with arcs.
As soon as one ghost gets tangled slightly, the fight shifts gears. I can focus on and web up the other fully by the time that get’s free, then trap them both. In fact, thinking it through, I could always carry a trapped ghost as a little emergency EXP if the factors were right.
Alas, both deader than dead, so that plan will wait, while I raid the treasury of this tomb!

I should’ve expected other players to find here. We’re not THAT far out from the spawn town, of course someone else’d wander in and grab tons of the gold.
So, yeah, went in, found the treasure chests, went to open the biggest one and… classic, my hands got stuck. Yes- all four of them. The chest growled, shifted and opened its maw.
Mimi
<Hoard Wyrm Rogue> - I respect a good one trick pony. Half mimic, half Gold-Drake, I guess she just snuck around a dungeon as a box, hoovering up any coins she could without me noticing, and stuffing them in her chest.
No, not her disguise chest, her actual chest. Girl is ridiculously stacked and she jingles, she’s got some kind of… natural inventory perk, but only for currency. Sadly currency can be exchanged for goods and services so I kinda need it too!
At least we got along. She seemed super happy to meet another wyrm woman, so I didn’t get the infamous mimic bite. Just the now infamous Mimi hug instead. It lasted a while.
Well, it’s still lasting. She’s got gluehide or something, and has been trying to pickpocket my purses for three minutes. I’ve got more limbs, she can’t reach. Also, pretty sure mine are bigger. Or, well, Gabriella’s are anyway.
Five minutes total. She finally gave up, leaned back and poked me in the boob, “Thankyou, pretty wyrm. I’m Mimi. Can I have the money?”
This is going to be some tough negotiations.

I got my arrows back, jewellery, gems, some bracers, spare armour, a <Blessed Mace>, and most importantly, proper dibs on the Gloomspire Cavern as my “hunting ground”. All that for all of my gold to be gobbled up by the sneak thief. Think I got the better trade, Mimi claims the Gloomspire Cavern was too scary for her to loot, so I should nab all the gold there.
More importantly, she agreed to leave and rob someone else. Some teammates aren’t worth it, and this girl isn’t the type to heroically sacrifice herself, she’s the sort to leave me high and dry.
Nothing personal, I kinda love that she’s built herself to be the perfect little loot machine. Though she could learn the value of armour… if it comes in G-cup or whatever she’s packing now.
As for why I don’t just kill her to nab however much gold she’s carrying, I’m still on negative reputation. I reckon my bundle of loot can sell for more than I gave up, but not if I get more bad karma for player killing. That’s not to say I didn’t escort her back to the entranceway.
“I can go anywhere?”
“Anywhere but here and the cavern.” I strung up a webline across the entrance just to be clear.
“Oh. Exciting.” She gave me another crazy hug, like having a pair of money bags shoved against you, so I threw in a few legs as revenge. “I’ll find shiny bows to swap you next time, ya?”
Then she folded up into a boulder and started slowly crawling away down the road. Nerds are weirdos. While old Gav here, is of course perfectly normal, having strung up as much web as possible over the entranceway alongside a couple improvised alarms. I don’t want any other players sneaking in to steal my stuff.
Of course, my quest was only actually to clear out Gloomspire Tomb- there’s probably a sequel quest for the Caverns level- but if I can keep others out, so much the better. I had to do one more patrol, searching through all the rooms, before I found the last hostile NPC.
Fun feature- apparently player corpses get animated in tomb dungeons. Nearly got scared out of my skin by undead-Flint. Kinda cathartic to kill again though. Don’t tell him.
—
Decided to camp out overnight above the entranceway. Wove myself a big comfy web hammock and finished off the elk rations. They’re still good, but if I end up in here for the long haul, it may pay off to look at some more survival skills, rather than just defence and offence skills.
Is that wild? What even is the long haul? I’ve got some levels under my belt, but if manga’s taught me anything, crossing worlds or freeing yourself is some endgame shiz.
What do I do?

Day 6, and got to introduce another character- Mimi! This one almost leapt off my big tables document, and was too good to resist. Mimic rogue! Definitely a character I want to draw.
