Inked version of this sketch. Done live via the fabulous RooCam!
This drawing was inked using an open-source Linux program, Inkscape (also available for Windows), plus a little tweaking in Photoshop. Inkscape is modeled after Adobe Illustrator and while it was a bit difficult to figure out at times, I believe I got the hang of it by the end of the session.
More to come!

Here's a nice, hi-res pic of the dark princess:

You can see her mane and tail (though, admittedly, it doesn't look like her mane is actually attached to her in any way).
Glad you liked my little pic! Thanks!

D'oh! Stupid zerochan! Okay, for the record, here's a link that should work (in case others want to see the image):

Yeah, the UI for Inkscape is a bit tricky to navigate. But, then so was Adobe Illustrator. And, conceptually, Inkscape has a lot in common with other graphics tools (Bezier points, auto-trace, import/export). Another nice trick is that it can automatically vary the line weight, which is great since my tablet driver doesn't have any pressure sensitivity.
I'm getting the hang of it, and I like the results I've gotten so far.
