This is not my time, I am a shadow of this age
as I watch with lonesome eyes as everyone else turns their page.
I am scared of this lonliness yet it knows me as a great friend
and I fear more that it will greet me each day till my life is at it's end.
More than anything however I fear beyond my heart
is the pity of the one who will offer me their hand with words we shall never part.
