Lost his wife Cipata when she sacrificed herself to bring sentience to 4 species on the planet.
He keeps her body around, on hooks, talking to her as if she's still alive.
His son, Lux, tried to incarnate and got lost and heartbroken in the material world. Maybe lost in the underworld by now...
So Xod is left alone. Pretty disgusted by the creation to whom he lost his family.
