Chapter 17 - Year of the Hoof-Rabbit

We begin Book 2, with a New Year's party. So it's been a few months since last chapter. Perfect time for a bit of introspection that doubles as a recap for the start of a new book, right?
Flopsy and Lydia have a fight, after which they get into a fight. And then her secret is revealed to another person, who figured it out on their own. It's bound to happen, you just can't get away without leaving clues behind, in this day and age where everything is recorded.
I'd be tempted to make a "Triangle Man" joke about the fight between Flopsy and Lydia, but Flopsy would protest both "Person" and "Man". (Or would she be Triangle Man, since she won? She'd probably say that's an even worse nickname than The Superbunny.)

Poor Flopsy, yeah. It'll get easier, eventually. It'll always eat at her, though, on some level. Killing Malik was still a "failure", even if it might not be "irredeemable" anymore. If it becomes a pattern, however, that could be... exceedingly bad. Hm, I should watch that "Invincible" show I've heard a lot about, with Omni-Man...
Lydia never expected to actually BEAT Flopsy, but she did expect to be able to score at least one hit. She was trying to show off progress, but Flopsy made her feel like a total newbie, as if all her hard work meant nothing at all. She could've handled it a lot better, sure, but sometimes emotions just get you like that. They made up, it's fine. ^_^
And yeah, Sensei was able to see the similarities in the way Flopsy and the Superbunny carry themselves, the way they move, the way they fight... Flopsy isn't really skilled enough to craft an entire new set of mannerisms for her "human persona". After all, she didn't even come up with a fake name for it! (And having introduced herself as Flopsy, she's kinda stuck with it, which is why she can't just come out and say "Can you guys please stop calling me Superbunny? I'm just Flopsy.") ^_^;;
