Just watch out though, cuz he's kinda deadly... like, demonically so. And he's also the mascot of my new sketchbook.

For some odd reason for the last few years I've had this tradition of naming all my sketchbooks, mostly because they're like children and come with me everywhere I go whether I use them or not. Only I've run through all my usual names...

So... stupidly I asked twitter to name my new A5, Blue-covered sketchbook, and this is what struck me most.

Dr Darkheart; Too bad it isn't red or I'd have suggested the Satanic Leaf Tailed Gecko. That thing is badass

So that's what I managed to google and then draw. It's harder then it looks putting a lizard into anthro-form, but I think I pulled off a badass kinda look.

Me: I can't decide if this is "dude, whatchu lookin' at?" Or "does it -look- like I give a fuck?" XD

Me: maybe it's a "whatchu looking at, punk, & don't even bother answering cuz I don't really give a fuck"? Followed by a #punchintheface


Haha, I love random twitter conversation. Anyway, his name is now Azul, also thanks to Dr D. The image is drawn in pencil, and the name if photoshopped in for effect, as is the signature. I might actually print it out and copy that text into my sketchbook. It'll sit behind the semi-clear cover and be seen when you look at it, so I wanna make it spiffy.

Not sure if I'd do anything else with this character... he's a bit awkward, but I guess we'll just have to see. If you'd like to see more of his *ahem* package or something, *cough*notnamingnamesbutweallknowkanagrooboywould*cough* just let me know.
