A few people have asked me if Octavia has a bio, so I decided to make one!
I only stuck to a few bullet points on the picture, so it wouldn't look too cramped, but here is some more info about her rather grim life:
Octavia is rather petite for an orc, though she inherited that quality from her mother who came from a tribe of slightly built orcs. For this reason, Octavia does not have the underbite and k-9s most commonly associated with orcs, but her teeth are still sharp.
Her eyes are blue which is very uncommon for orcs, and makes them widely sought after for spells and potions. (it is later revealed that her blue eyes are an indication of her very powerful soul).
Since Octavia was abused mostly by men in her life, she has a hard time trusting them. On the flip side, she is overly trusting of women, which people often take advantage of.
Her father had wanted sons, but when Octavia was born, her mother became extremely ill. This prevented her from having any more children. Her father always resented her for this, claiming her mother's illness was her fault.
Octavia spent most of her childhood years doing work around the home including cooking and cleaning. When she was about 10 years old, her father told her she had to make money for the family and forbid her to come home until she had made a certain amount. She was soon tricked into prostitution and continued that line of work until her mother's eventual death.
Octavia's mother would celebrate her birthday by giving her a small bag of brown sugar. This would eventually lead to Octavia insisting brown sugar be sprinkled on everything she ate.
Her mother died on Octavia's 21st birthday, and her father immediately kicked her out of the house and claiming she had ruined his life.
In her vulnerable state, she was quickly tricked and kidnapped by slave traders who sold her to a wealthy sea caption.
Not long after, she was rescued by a small band of hyena pirates. Two of the pirates, Theia, and her older brother, Venus, decide to take up life on the land as traveling performers and Octavia, who had become close to Theia, joined them. She took up playing the violin, and though she had never played before, she seemed to be a born natural at it.
Theia also teaches her how to read and write.
During their travels, Octavia hears rumors that orcs either A: don't have souls, or B: they go straight to hell when they die. She becomes extremely fearful that her mother may be burning in hell, so she, Theia, and Venus go on a quest to find out whether or not orcs have souls. (she doesn't know about the blue eye thing at this point). During this time, Octavia has to dodge her slave master, her father, and anyone else trying to hunt her down for various reasons.
Whew! And there you go! Hopefully I mentioned some tings that I haven't before.

What's the story with the belt on her boot: belt from her childhood, a broken boot belt buckle, a makeshift whip/restraint she stole to ensure it wouldn't be used on anyone again, a gift from the hyena siblings, holds a boot knife sheath we can't see from this side, etc?
Also, she needs a hug after that story. :)
