Fireflies - a poem by Grace Wilson Coplen read by McKenna
At the request of
Michel-Vincent Corbeaux here is the audio of my granddaughter reading the poem 'Fireflies'.
Grace Wilson Coplen may have been from Lincoln, Nebraska. There was an advertisement for her children's book of poetry she had written in the Lincoln Journal Star (as Grace Coplen) in December 1924. It was titled: 'Whisperings of Love and Fun. She was a housewife, homemaker, and later a teacher.
Please enjoy...

I can definitely hear the makings of a future poet here, she managed to keep a good flow to the structure aside from the single fumble in the middle (happens to the best of us,) and has the rhythm on point as well.
Not that I claim to be well versed in poetry.
