I seem to always get lost trying to escape Pittsburgh. Last year we went the wrong way and our engine overheated climbing this godawful mountain--and I mean, "Pull over dear there's smoke coming from under the hood!" Do not want to do THAT again!
This year will have the added challenge of a flippin' street party shutting down 9th-11th streets in front of the convention center. The parking garage is off 10th street. The roads will be blocked off from 9 AM -5 PM. And registration doesn't open until 10. So if I get there at 8.30, and my panel is at 10.30, the hell am I supposed to do until registration opens? Sit in my damned car?
Yes, I am being selfishly angry. It also means I have to leave here EVEN EARLIER to get there now, and my dog's going to be stuck in the house for even longer.
And no, I have too much gear to even think about parking anywhere else except at the DLCC garage.
