Leo is all set! Made for bitter_hyena on Twitter!
This plush is made with minky, custom dyed minky, mochi minky, custom dyed mochi minky and cotton fabrics for the clothing with small golden colored flat stud buttons. They stand at about 19 inches from the tips of the ears to the bottoms of the feet. All details are machine embroidered and appliqued on the base body of the plush. There is a pouch of polypellets in the rump to help them sit up properly. The clothing is removable and the closure is a strip of hook and loop. The line details on the clothing were applied using fabric paint while the buttons were attached using fabric adhesive.
Fun facts!
Originally Leo was planned to be not dyed, lo and behold.... Haha. The dye job was fairly simple however, a deep light purple bath worked to get a slightly... Purple? Color on the stripes and darker grey
The hair was NOT completely patterned and l winged it during the final touches! It turned out to be quite a task after I realized that the hair color on the opposite side was not visible on the other. Making a hair piece with each side with their corresponding color was a lifesaver!
This little one almost went home without their clothing, at least up before final photos! I usually have a habit of writing all over my concept art and adding notes to remember, including major info on quote forms. Funny enough, Leo was a form I didn't save across all my devices like I usually do. π¬
Doing my best to keep this short; I'm still posting from my mobile device. π
