Prowling the ocean depths, only surfacing at the cover of night, this elusive, barely known predator has a choice of how to hunt: lure prey in with a gentle purple glow before trapping them inside hundreds of feet of long, sinewy body (if the clearly exaggerated tales of the locals are anything to go by), or stir up the waters to form a whirlpool and wait at the bottom to slurp up whatever gets funneled down to the cavernous mouth awaiting there. Whatever the case, there is always plentiful desperation (or simple foolhardiness) and the opportunity to claim some potentially entertaining company off of those traits~
