Since the numbers matched up, I decided to add some meaning to a rather arbitrary milestone, looking back 10 years to a song line that still hits home from a song whose title inspired the very handle I go by on here.

The more things change in life, the more some things have stayed the same, I suppose. And despite it all, I'm still around. So I guess no matter how much things change, or how jaded I am, or how much the things I hate in life try to bring me down, I'll be here.

I also figured I'd throw back a little to the first piece I ended up posting on this site (if you remember anything else before this piece, you don't), and as much as I think I'm a stagnant artist, there really is a pronounced different in how much better my stuff is now, and also in how much Zahara and my relation to her has changed as well.

What a wild ride, and it's probably gonna stay that way in the years to come. Oh well, happy birthday, me.
