Looking across the bar

Through smiles and laughter
Drinking over and over
To the lonely coyote standing there

The alone soul
Heart as hard as coal
Hurt by the ones close

Atmosphere seemed to go
Disturbing the flow
Of all around

The watcher
The wonderer
Standing there

Seeing the look on his face
The Collie took pace
And made his way over

Through a mesh of heads and tails
Not wanting to bail
