This is highly experimental electronic music and my first submission. It doesn't have special effects of any major measure but quality comes with experience. The inspiration I had behind the track comes allot from an influence of German industrial trance. Distortion, Glitchyness and stomp your feet percussion setup are key to this track. It has a dark chaotic atmosphere heavy in percussion. I hope all who listen enjoy and to give criticism either it good or bad. The Wuxxii

the only thing im noticing is that its just a bit TOO distorted, like the song itself in rendering didnt come out to well. the overall sound on it is good i like the dark feeling it gives of and the sounds you have give it a "oh shit something bad is about to happen" vibe so you got that down ^^ only thing i can say is really just watch your volumes on render so that it doesnt sound garbled when you render.
I love the crunchy distortion. ^.^ I just recently learned how to prevent audio out clipping and that stopped allot of my channels from being overbearing to one another. Though I only used a single compressor after my main mixer so I may try to use individual compressors for each individual channel. I think my main issue is trying to get more volume out of a specific sound without bringing up my Db gain. once my Db gain starts going into the red I start to lose volume from my other channels. though I cant get my desired channel balance without bringing up my Db gain. I hope just adding individual compressors to each channel will help. Thanks for the input.
There is a few bad things about letting your audio go into the red, Firstly it may damage speakers and secondly with your volume going into the red you may not be able to hear all you individual channels clearly. At most you want your audio in the low to mid yellow, you can pump your volume more if you think your track is a little quiet by adding additional line mixers either after or before all your channels. adjusting the volume for each as you make your tracks. Use compression to reduce the Db gain for each of your channels, That is the power that's being sent through your channels and not your actual volume. For equalization you can cut a hole or boost your frequency range so if you have multiple base lines or melodies and/or sound effect in the same frequency range you can have one stand out from the other. Equalization is something I'm still working the kinks out of myself so the proper implementation of it is difficult if you don't understand the frequencies of sound.
equalization seems to be more a factor of how flat your monitor's frequency response is. like, what may sound awesome coming out of your headphones, could sound like blurry trash out of mine. Ur levels in ur songs so far have all be awesome on my system, but who knows with anyone else's? Ive found that alot of the bass lines turn to mud when i take songs into my car; have yet to figure that one out.
I try to mix mainly in my headphones because of how good they respond for me. Their a pair of Denon stereo headphones AH-D1001, Cost me about $200 to pick up these puppies. best investment I've made yet so far in my music making. I do have a decent stereo system which has a really nice balance but due to mixing during the night I find i may get complaints from people living around me for excessive noise. As for your car stereo I have no clue, I've never had a friend with a decent car stereo willing to play my music, they all blared their bs rap. god I hate rap music, I loved it when hip hop was the thing, had more flow to it. but yeah even their rap sounded like crap in a basic car stereo. it could maybe be the stereo itself if it is factory, may need to give it a upgrade maybe, dunno really.
Thanks, This was something I put together in my early days of trying to produce electronic music with little knowledge of how it was put together. Now that I listen to this again I believe I could do more with it yet my original file for it is no longer in existence I lost it in a computer hard disk fail. The Mouse on Mars I think was a tv show correct? if it is a song I'd like to have a listen could you send me a link to it if possible? I'm still studying allot and learning allot every day with my music, I hope to someday produce top quality UK style industrial with deep meaningful lyrics with very dark sounding music.

Thanks for the link, Any criticism on my tracks would be appreciated. I know I'm lacking allot still with a few things like pads, ambiance. build ups, drops and more variation in my percussion. If you know of any place with tutorial videos or reading material that to would be appreciated.
