This is a foray into Terragen 2 and - a little bit - Daz Studio. I consider this pretty much a WIP; unfortunately there won't be new version soon, since I managed to hit a hard limit in Terragen. Until 64 bit version comes in, adding to this scene is simply impossible.

Free (up to 800x600 render size limit), $299 standard, $399 with animation add-on, more with various Xfrog bundles. The only aspect of the animation add-on that can't be replaced by a little outside scripting is motion blur, but that doesn't seem to be too useful for stills, or, the most common use for 'animation', six-shot scenes for HDRI.
