Usually I don't post photography, but I felt really compelled to post this photo I took yesterday of my dog, Blu.
Blu is a five-year-old half American Bulldog, quarter Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler), quarter German Shorthaired Pointer mix. As a midwife, I raised her from just a few hours old along with her ten other siblings. I dog-sat her mother throughout her pregnancy because the dog's owner worked out of town. As "payment" for my sixteen full weeks of hard work and dedication, I received what has been the best dog I have ever owned.
Blu has the intelligence of a Heeler, the stubbornness of a Bulldog, and the athleticism of a GSP. As similar to Dalmatian Dogs, Blu was born solid white (with the exception of the three patches on her face and the one on her tail). Blu was the only puppy in the litter who displayed such a striking ticking pattern by the time spots began appearing at the age of three weeks. Most of the puppies had some spotting along the back, like their mother (the Bulldog), but obviously Blu got all of her dad's genes.
Blu loves warm weather and the sun, but she also enjoys the occasional snow. She dislikes water, but she loves running, herding cattle, hunting squirrels (she's succeeded before), rolling, sniffing, exploring, relaxing, cuddling, meeting new dogs, observing, and wrestling.
She's very skilled at balancing stuff on her nose, to which she has a Facebook fan-page for (check it out!) http://www.facebook.com/pages/Stuff.....86692031361614
Anyway, to sum it all up:
I love this dog with all my heart. I worked hard to train her well (it was not easy!) and to make her everything I ever wanted in a dog. She's my pride and joy.

Oh yeah, you can see one of the breeds more prominent at different times. Her physical features are mostly Bulldog, but to the untrained eye they're unnoticeable because of her coat color. She has the round head, droopy eyes, and stocky build of the bulldog (but thankfully not the under bite). She herds cattle magnificently like the Cattle dog (I haz pictures: http://caroro-stock.deviantart.com/.....-I-Do-56090925 ) and occasionally she points like the GSP. Many people will stop and ask me if she's a GSP, I say she's an Am. Bulldog painted like a GSP haha!
