An experiment gone well and probably the only "big" piece I was capable to complete last year x)

Chalene and her team coming across an interesting find, while researching a network of ice-lodged caves.
I was so happy to come back to her and... well, get her featured in a proper SFW illustration, finally xD

Chalene herself is done completely in traditional (2 markers and some color pencils were used for her part), while the background is 90% digital + some overlay magic.
I've been searching for a core style for the future setting illustrations, that would combine traditional media as my forte and "artistic safe space", while also leave a way to deal with more difficult parts even when inner resource is close to non-existent.
This method seems to work really well for me so far!
