Alright, this one requires a little explanation. A couple of months ago, a documentary went up on YouTube called A Bigg Retrospective, which was about the history and legacy of the show TUGS. They interviewed various members of the show's crew, and one of them shared an anecdote about working in the studio. The show was filmed in a large water tank, so the crew had to put on waders and leave their regular shoes at the side. On at least one occasion, someone returned from lunch to find that one of their shoes had been nicked, and placed in the tank atop one of the trollies that the tugboat models usually ran on. Enough said, really.
I have taken a bit of artistic license here, of course: for one thing, the boats were pulled by hand with wires beneath the water, instead of being radio-controlled; for another, the shoe in question looked more like a Reebok than a Chuck Taylor.
