I was way too lazy to shade this thing, and I wanted to play with SAI, since I realized that I haven't posted much of anything lately, not to mention that I spend most of my time on iScribble anyway.

Zar has had a semi-normal childhood. Her mother has always accepted her, lovingly taking care of her & her little sister. Her father, on the other hand, did nothing but drink & complain about almost anything. He was rather homophobic, and Zar wants him out of her life. Zar has tried to run away once, but came back home about a week later, nearly killing her father when she came into the door.
Zar was born with a gene defect that had laid dormant in her DNA for a good 14 years of her life. The doctors had only seen it twice before, neither cases even the slightest bit genetically related to Zar. They had named it the "Seahorse Gene," which changes the person's gender under certain conditions, unique to the person. For Zar, it is stress, although it has started to spread to happiness as well as her other emotions. When she was growing up, she was initially a male. However, when Zar came home and attacked her father, she changed without noticing until afterward. She perfers to be a female, both to remember that day, and because she's felt as a girl trapped in a boy's body. Zar is trying her hardest to learn to control this defect, and thinks that she is getting closer with each passing day.
She recently went to the doctor after another genetic change. This one affecting her species, literally overnight. Zar changed from a coyote to a coybit, a coyote / rabbit hybrid. This change is permenant. It was brought on by her mother, who had the same problem when she was her age. She initially was a rabbit, but changed fully into a coyote. No genetic reason has been found to this date.
Zar is generally a happy, energetic person. She tries to cheer people up with her silly attitudes, actions, etc, although they sometimes don't work. She tends to feel other people's emotions, which, to her, is her double-edged sword. Zar can be quite clueless sometimes.
Zar is a musician, artist, & dancer. She loves each of these passions, but she wants to become a graphic designer above all.
