I've always had a hyper-sensitivity to insect venom (Mosquitos, 'Deer' flies, ants, etc.).
I had no idea just how bad it could really get, until I moved here into the 'Great Northwest', regarding the g-damned hornets, wasps, yellow-jackets (I'm convinced they're ALL the same damn thing, simply enjoying 'Diversity' and a kick ass PR Campaign?!).
Holy. Hell. These evil bastards build nests IN THE GROUND!!! Which I discovered, many times, clearing brush.
Now I'm forever bearing an 'Epi-stick' and an instant '911' call for a ride to the nearest hospital (a 30 minute drive, if traffic is being nice), against these Demons with butt stingers!

I've been forced to embrace a 'Zero prisoners' policy when I discover them. Sorry, 'Mother Nature,' but YOU made me go there!
