Love isn't just about filling the void. It's something you feel toward someone you admire. A lot of people only want to be loved and have no idea what real love is. It isn't a selfless emotion either. It's the most profoundly selfish emotion there is. I used to tell myself, when I was younger, that I wasn't in it to get anything out of it. But that was a lie. You're willing to do things for your love, not because you are their servant, but because they are such an amazing person that you derive happiness from their character, and it becomes in your self-interest to do things for them in order to keep enjoying their character, personality, even their physical attractiveness.
