The bus pulled into the parking lot and came to a complete stop.
The doors opened and the passengers disembarked. The students were all excited, for it was the final day of school and Remy's class was back at the Jolly Roger Water Park.
Ms. Muskrat's class went through the main entrance to the park They waited on line to get their inner tubes.
Stephanie was right behind him.
Remy turned to her. "Are you going in the wave pool?" he asked her.
"In a little bit," said Stephanie. "First I want to take it slow in the Lazy River. Do you want to come along with me?"
Remy smiled. "Sure, I would-"
"Ahem," said Kyle, who was in front of him. "I thought you said you wanted to start off in the wave pool?"
"Oh, Right." said Remy. "I forgot about that."
He turned to Stephanie. "I'll meet you over there in a little bit."
Stephanie smiled. "That's fine, whatever you want to do."
After a tumbling ride in the wave pool, the dizzy Remy headed over to the Lazy River to meet with Stephanie.
Kyle followed him. He decided to take it a little slow after a wild ride.
At the Lazy River, they climbed aboard their tubes (after three or four tries) and drifted off.
Remy found it very relaxing. It reminded him of his dream in the jungle. His tube spun around slowly in the current. Kyle was right behind him. He, too, seemed to be enjoying the smooth ride.
Remy eventually caught up with Stephanie. Richard was there spinning in his tube. He spied Remy and Kyle coming slowly towards him and waved. They waved back.
Remy tried to paddle up to them. His arm grew tired.
Looking back, Stephanie reached over and took his hand.
"I've got an idea," she smiled.
Richard paddled over and took Remy's other hand.
When Kyle pulled up, Richard reached over and grabbed his hand.
"Okay," cried Stephanie. "Hold on and don't let go!"
"What are we doing?" asked Kyle.
"You'll see. Don't let go!"
Nobody dared to let go.
Hand in hand, the four friends spun like a giant propeller in the current.
Everyone broke into laughter as they spun faster and faster. "When I say so," called Stephanie, "Everyone let go."
The pool stairs were just coming into view. The group had nearly gone full circle.
"Ready," said Stephanie.
They reached the open area with the stairs on the right-hand side.
"Now!"
Everyone released their hands and their tubes spun out in all directions.
Remy bounced off the side and back towards the center.
"Wow," he thought. "That was really cool."
Remy laid his head back and returned to relaxing. He closed his eyes and let the current carry him away.
