USSR cartoon wolves chart
Another chart I made especially for wolves from USSR cartoons. I decided to not include them in my main chart of favorite characters because calling some of these guys "favorite" is quite a stretch, many of them are very minor characters who appeared in single short cartoons for just few minutes, it's more just an investigation of what we had back then. Not gonna lie of course that I wish to draw sexy art with every each of them anyway.
Some of the characters are from cartoons made after Soviet Union collapse in 1991 but still before new millennium and since their style is nearly impossible to distinguish from cartoons officially made in USSR I still treat them as USSR cartoons.
This time I made a list of cartoons these characters are from, my main charts of favorite characters don't have it for now. I could paste links to every each cartoon but they always get deleted from YouTube and then reupload again so it's better to leave original Russian names to avoid dead links. English names wont work but if you copy Russian one and paste it in YouTube search you will always get a video to watch. Don't forget to use the year along!
Names go from left to right.

There is so much I never see before !
I know about the row thing but I'll talk about 2 missing to give a light about something I found very clever in the Russian culture about wolves, they are called "the forest doctor" And for sure they are by killing hill animals, and I'm sure this is why the two wolves in "Masha and Miska" live in an ambulance !

I remember wolves from Masha and Miska and they're cute, not to mention belly stuffing scene with them, but their style is a bit too generic and uninspiring for me. In fact, there were more wolves in Soviet hand drawn cartoons but I didn't add many of them because they were just plain average wolves, this chart has only those guys who caught my attention with their charisma or interesting appearance. And I'm not a fan of modern plastic CGI. I love many 3D cartoons like Zootopia but Russia makes it much poorer and cheaper. Also this chart is for 20th century characters, otherwise I would add wolf from modern Ivan Tsarevich and the Gray Wolf cartoon, he is hot.
Ooooh, thank you a lot for suggesting! Never heard about this cartoon, it looks very nice and colorful and wolf is very cute, I'll definitely add him to my chart. Cartoon's unique style and all the 90s realities exposed in it made me feel a sense of dejavu and after a little research I found out that I was right, this cartoon has the same producer and art director as 1993 cartoon "Gingerbread" which is very similar. The wolf from it is presented in this chart (second row, white haired one in a red vest), so maybe these two guys could make a lovely crossover.
