Shamelessly stealing the title  feralhedgehog suggested because I can't think of anything else, and I'm the worstie c':

A super gorgeous 2 part comic I got, with the intention of trying to flesh out and solidify a bit more about Ashura's past and her origins, what led her to become the fairy dragon we know today. It's unfortunately not all roses and sunshine, though, but I'm really happy with how it turned out!
Schl4fy did an incredible job with it based on my prompts, and I'm forever grateful!
I had very briefly exploring the lore on her ref, in the description mainly, but it was all left very vague intentionally, so I didn't write myself into any corners, since I knew I wanted to do stuff with it later down the line. Well, turns out that's now!

That night, Ashura noticed something strange in the forest below her resting spot. Something new, something that hadn't been there prior, she would know, she came here frequently to relax, enjoying the overview of the forest and listening to the movements of the leaves in the wind.
A very strange and bright light was emanating from deep within the forest, and she couldn't resist going down and look at what could be causing it. It could be a new friend using some sort of magic for light and direction, they could be lost, and she would be able to help.

As she made her way towards the anomaly, she could never manage to get a proper clear view of it, always trees or foliage blocking the way, so she increased her tempo, eagerness and curiosity getting the better of her, hushing any feelings of being careful, occasionally calling out to whoever it might be, but her calls going unanswered.
As she turned the final tree blocking her view, there it was. Well, she wasn't actually really sure what she was looking at, other than a really bright erratically moving sphere, with a bright glowing center, and smaller orb like things orbiting around it, seemingly leashed to it. Fairies perhaps ? She started getting second thoughts about this, she had never seen a creature like this before, was it even a creature ? She considered turning back, but it was too late.

She had been moving very slowly closer, and the object had taken notice of her, the orbiting orbs flinging themselves at and around her, the center mass moving closer and closer, and that's when she recognized what she was looking at. It wasn't a creature at all, it was concentrated mana looking for a host. She tried to let out a scream and run, but before she was able to, the mana had latched itself onto her.
