it would be nice if there were more cons outside the usa!! TwT though there are some new smaller ones popping up around the world!
idk if you're familiar with this map, if you zoom out it's a worldwide map of furcons & events: https://coyo.tl/map i link it to everyone i can, because it's SUPER cool. love helping people find cons & other fur events close to home, theres plenty of events on here id never heard about before (despite the obsessive amounts of research i do on furry stuff lol). cons have been the most wildly fun and welcoming environment ive ever experienced. id love if everyone who wants to could get to experience that <3

thank you! i just checked the site you sent me, i sadly already know of the ones near me (vancofur & fur-eh) but the staff for both of them have been very hit or miss & ive heard pretty bad of them (+ the terrorist threat that was on vancofur?? kinda terrifying.) so sadly theres not much for me until i get a passport. hopefully sometime by next year maybe ill have one though!

oh rip yeah, unfortunately every con has its complaints & downsides. last year at AC the city police had way too big a presence and were super rude and scaring people. but i got confirmation that they've been replaced by dedicated con security staff this year, so im feeling a lot more comfortable about it.
there's been terrorist threats & protesters at quite a few cons recently too, it really sucks. my best friend was at MCFC when they were evacuated for a bomb threat on the first day, but thankfully emergency responders were able to confirm it as an empty threat and the con went on, if only a few hours late 😭
despite the issues tho the vast majority of people have a great time, its usually just 1 awful person that wants to cause trouble. if you ever do plan to visit ac, im a local so feel free to reach out if you have any questions! ^w^
