Maybe he needs to push his fat tail a bit and roll up a circle so that he could squeeze into the cargo part. XD
The best way to solve this is to unload ore inside at the pod and wait for the next round.
Or request a inclined lift to bring this heavy creature to the ground. All he need is laying on his belly storage and wait for a crane.
(Also, an alt small size can help though.)

Maybe he's more of a drilldozer, entering and leaving the area in its own large drop pod. Actually that could be a funny follow up, a cyborg Dragon built to harvest or just eat the heartstone

Oh. A harvester could be a role close to his features. Drilling foward in the mineshaft and carrying stone and ore.
Maybe he could work better with the BWE dragons. Just an idea, after all he's small compared to the big one.
Perhaps only dozens of the Draules can match up the need though.XD
