This is actually the first breastless lizard I drew, simply because they didn't specify and reptiles with breasts annoy me :p if they request or provide references with happy pillows I'll usually put them in....but all they said was 'lizard girl' so I was like: THIS IS MY CHANCE!!! *glee*
I was just reading about law. He said a lizard girl. And lizards don't have breast. If you didn't state you are willing to do changes. The person should pay up for your work that you completed. Unless he provided a ref and the ref had boobs then that is a little different.
Technically, lizards don't have thumbs, feet shaped like that, or walk bipedal, either.
It's... generally assumed that boobs are included if we're talking females, unless otherwise specified.
Not to mention the thumbnail made me think this was a male lizard, so I was kinda disappointed to find out the picture was of a female >_>

We are talking about a lizard girl. It how a person interprets it. If an artist thinks it supposed to look like that, well its her job to interpret what "lizard girl" means to her or the person.
its going to get raped by tentacles anyways. That kind of hot no matter what sex it is . Now imagine it has a penis and shud up!

1. True, it is how the artist interprets it. But then, if the artist is paid for their work, then the picture they are drawing is not for themselves, it is for the person commissioning it.
2. If you're technically going to be a stickler about lizard girls and boobs, we should go all the way and just draw non-anthro lizards because lizards don't have thumbs either. This point has not been dropped.
3. Gender matters a lot in tentacle rape.
Basically, if this is the FIRST female lizard the artist has drawn in this way, then the commissioner would not be aware of the artist having a thing about lizards with mammaries. No one is a mind reader. You can say "he didn't specify" but then, that's the thing - he didn't know he needed to on this one aspect. A picture was commissioned, money was exchanged, and a different product was delivered.
@Jokerkitty, I might add that this is a good way to not get commissioned in the future. If you're always going to subvert what the commissioner wants because on a "technicality", then you're not going to get business because no one wants to deal with you. ESPECIALLY since this is the first time you've drawn a lizard girl without breasts - you can't even say that the commissioner didn't do his research. He's not a mind reader. He doesn't know what hang-ups you have. It would have been wise for you to say "By the way, since you didn't specify, I'm going to draw her without mammaries (because). Is that okay?"
Knowing him, he would have said yes. In fact, knowing him, he'll probably be fine with this picture. So you sorta dodged a bullet. But if you know what someone is asking for without them saying, don't be obtuse about it. Otherwise, you're basically cheating people out of their money. Among furries, the assumption is "Mammaries unless otherwise specified." As an example, If you commissioned someone for a picture of a lizard girl, for example, you would specify "no mammaries" because of that default assumption.
I'm not saying this to tear you down or anything. Just the opposite. You're an excellent artist and I'd like to see more people commission you. I'm just trying to help you avoid making some serious mistakes.

random arguement is random?? They never saw any of my lizards prior to this seeing as they did not know me and didn't really search through my gallery. Besides, I did search through their stuff to see what kind of lizards they liked because I wanted to know if they'd mind whether I made her bald or not.....and since they seemed to not care either way (I.E. there were breasted females AND unbreasted females as well as bald ones) I figured I'd be safe to draw it how i felt like I should draw it. As for confusing her for a male, I do apologize, I should have put a thumbnail description indicating as such, and I should've probably tried to make it more feminine. Originally she did in fact have smaller shoulders and a slight bump to her chest that way even if there weren't true breasts you could tell but the pose made it look awkward and unappealing so changed it to full flatness and broadened the shoulders
it also doesn't help that I made the hips much to thin.
However I do apologize if this isn't your cup o' tea as they say....but really....I've recieved no complaint front the commissionee and you're not the one it was for so.....*shrugs* what right do you really have to complain other than on the fact that it was a tad misleading?

This what I told him in a note.
THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!
The reason for me talking to you is this. HOW do you know the customer is not satisfied? All I see is that you mad that you got no boobs. THIS is not your commission so wtf man? Just chill the fuck out and go wack off to something else....

There should be an option like on DA where the owner of the picture can unhide comments that the deviant commenter hid, because I'm fairly curious about what is so embarrassing or incriminating to this person that they felt they had to hide it from people who might see it
We were arguing so I started a private message with him. I told him to hide them because it was stupid and pointless to argue on here and fuck up your submission. So we did...
I think he assumed I was making fun of the commissioner that he got a boobless char. Just arguments.... whatever's...
