Just a heads up, by the time this picture goes up, I'll be down to 4 Episodes to complete the Daiku Maryu Gaiking Dark Horror Kaiju Roster. Final Pics to be planned will be Emperor Darius, the Generals and off course Daiku Maryu Gaiking itself, and I'm planning to start posting 2 Pics a week to pick up the passe of the roster. Afterwards, I might be open for Pic Commissions - no comic commissions, can only work with so many comics at once before I get burn out.

The next Monster Monday series plan is the Tokusatsu Giant Robo tv series, however I need to find the Episodes for it and it will be welcoming if anyone knows links where I can find episodes of it. I' am also tempted to do a mini Monster Monday dedicated for the individual Gremlin Characters who appear in Gremlins Secret of the Mogwai.

Now for this week's Monster Monday we got...

The Spider Comet Amoebas and Spideros were the 32nd and 33rd Kaiju used by the Dark Horror Army as the monsters of the week in Episode 28 of the Anime Dino Mecha Gaiking – "Sending the Zeus Missile into Space".

_Appearances and Abilities_
The Spiders Comet Amoebas was the first creatures of the episode and the principle main threat; unique among the Monster Roster, as it was NOT a creation of the Zelans, but an Alien Lifeform comprise of ravenous amoebas that come to Earth every certain millennia to consume the indigenous life, traveling the Universe on a comet. Once reaching a planet teeming with life, it would spread in its gas state and proceed to absorb the life force of the planet's inhabitants, leaving nothing but skeletons in its wake; however it could do so when sensing the fear or weak will of its living targets, indicating a level of malicious intelligence if it requires fear as a form substance, one that only Sakon was able to perceive; but, if one has a strong will, it would slow or fail to consume its victim. The life form was able to consume materials like steal and no amount of seal in any environment would stop its voracious onslaught. However, it was weak to extreme heat (which kinda contradicts the general environment it often resides in, Space, which has radiation and burns you, specially when closer to the sun). Of all the Kaiju, it holds the largest body count of kills on the Daiku Maryu crew in a single episode.

The creatures were wiped out by extreme heat, and the comet itself, with Zeus Missiles.

Spideros was the second monster in the episode, unleashed when the Daiku Maryu was under the attack of the Amoebas. It was a six legged Spider Robot, with a Brown body scheme with Red lines over its frame and lower legs: It had a spiky green Head with dark eyes and pink mandibles and magenta eye lids, with black lines on the forehead; neck was dark with a spike shell plate over it and a pink collar on the base of the neck; the legs had light brown spikes, standing on four sharp claws for feet.

Besides size, been as big as the Daiku Maryu, with capability of Space flight, Spideros abilities were all physical combat; Ramming, grabbing with its claws and mouth.

_Story_
Following a game with Yamagatake, Sakon begins to perceive a strange sensation and begins to keep a watchful eye to the sky – making studies, observations, and a calculations – expecting something to arrive, a concern Dr. Daimonji comes to after Pete reports of his behavior to the the others. Meanwhile, in Space, the General see the arrival of the Spiders Comet – an object of strange properties; Asimov has a sample taken and stored in a rocket capsule which is launch to Earth, crashing close to the Daiku Maryu Base, the presence with in the sample causing strain on Sakon's mind. The team departs to investigate the Impact site, but ignoring Sakon's warnings, Yamagatake launches on the Bazolar trying to retrieve the capsule, which by now began to leak; acting with a sense of urgency, Sakon fires at the rocket and destroys it, hurting Yamagatake in the process.

Later, after facing an wounded Yamagatake who is demanding answers for his behavior and actions, Sakon is inform by the Astronomical Observatory of its find - an approaching Comet – then comes forwards and explains everyone the story of the Spiders Comet, a conscious star – and as told to him by his father, Prof. Ryu Sakon, a comet that in its last visit on Earth, wiped out an ancient super civilization that preceded Humankind, devouring the populous, and if it were to return, Mankind would be in great peril, and all hope of stopping lie at the hands of Sakon's own Genius. Now the Black Horror Army has found it and controls it; he suggest to use a special nuclear missiles to put an end to the threat and the whole team begins work on the weapons, thus leading to the creation of the Zeus Missiles.

With casualties now reporting from the Comet all over the world, the Daiku Maryu takes off to deal with the new threat; but as soon it encounters it, a part of it breaks to attack the ship, beginning to eat through the hull and devouring some of the crew (Why the hell they took off without the Zeus Missiles bugs the mind). Despite sealing the affected areas, the entity breaks through the shutters continuing its onslaught and into the control room, killing a crewman in front of the main staff. Yamagatake tries to shoot it, but intervention by Sakon ends up causing a misfired onto the Mother Computer, shutting everything down; Sakon then pushes Yamagatake out of harm's way and gets covered by the Amoebas; retaining his focus and acting as a decoy, he asks everyone to take refuge, Daimonji and the rest of the Crew sealing themselves in the Shield Room, while Sakon tries to fix the computer – contact is lost with him and then an explosion rocks the ship; with the Mother Computer destroy and the Daiku Maryu adrift, Sakon has to come up with a inventive way to regain control of the ship and discovers all the Amoebas were killed in the heat from the blast. Meanwhile Sanchiro wears a protection and leaves the shield room to reach Sakon retaining his cool when facing the Amoebas.

Not far, the Generals see the unfolding situation with the Daiku Maryu and Asimov launches the Dark Horror Beast Spideros which begins to attack, ramming and then dragging the Daiku Maryu into the Moon. Sanchiro makes it to the Control Room as Sakon makes the final touches to his work, but the former faints as he runs out of oxygen – with the heat rising and the Beast outside, the crew leaves the Shield Room in Protection suits, only to find the rest of the Amoebas that infected the ship had died by the extreme heat afflicting the Daiku Maryu – when arriving at the control room, they find Sanshiro alive and well, and Sakon now in the Captain's chair with his Control Helmet; using his own super brain as substitute for the Mother Computer he brings all Systems back to operation.

Alive once more, the Daiku Maryu shakes the beast of and takes off, Spideros now in pursuit, the Zeus missiles are launched into space, reaching and connecting with the ship ready to finish the Comet, but with Spideros is an impediment, Sanshiro launches the Gaiking to deal with the Beast by activating its Face Open; using Abshock Light it holds Spideros at bay as Daiku Maryu positions itself to fire the Zeus Missiles. Sanshiro dispatches the Monster quickly with Death Fire just as Sakon fires with the Missiles at the comet, hitting on the mark and destroying it and the Amoebas in it, ending their threat for good. Following their victory Gaiking and Daiku Maryu fly back to Earth.
