Would all magic in the setting need inheriting or can it be learnt? Also what other magic would exist apart from pyromancy?

I was thinking that it will be inheriting but also learn and expand on such power. And any other magic can pretty much happen as long as the user has never had any passed down prior, or by insane luck can handle the numerous amounts that exist, but there’s gotta be a limit of course! I’m still figuring ideas out :)
