Kuyo's journey has been quite arduous. Pushing ahead requires twice the strength it used to and trying to make it to the end of the day requires every ounce of his will that remains. His dreams are the only place that can comfort him. He spends them with Nyla, his lost lover, comforting him. He wishes it were real, the gentle caress of her hands across his face, her soothing voice reassuring him he's doing his best, and her presence right with his when no one else desires him. Unfortunately, after some time that all comes to an end and before he knows it, his eyes open and another day awaits him.
