The words escaped him. He scratched his head, unable to make a cohesive thought. Was the amulet affecting him? He took it off, hoping that would fix the problem, but it didn't.
"Me think this thing not good," he said, now holding the amulet by its string. Within a few moments, he felt his shorts tighten... and then rip. Looking down in surprise, he could see his belly growing... and the ground moving further away.
