A sketch of Rui that's also a bit of a vent sketch(?)

I've been thinking a lot about my old home. I've found that I'm homesick for a place that simply doesn't exist anymore. I have to be careful when I head back home for visits as I might trick myself into thinking of what it was like before everything.

I really just miss being a kid I think. I know how dark my childhood was now, but I was so oblivious to most of it. I miss my father, my brother, and grandfather. I miss their smiles and laughs. With Father's Day around the corner, they're on my mind a little more than usual. I know I'm happy here where I am, and my fiancé takes real good care of me.

Things will be alright. I just have to move forward one step at a time.
