Aka. something which I was supposed to do before drawing the "Lilliputians" on pasture but that would not be me if I didn't make my life harder... 😅
So I decided to made my life easier! =D (at least for my future self)
In another words, I wanted to make a concept of a artstyle on which I could settle for my future equine dravings. So I did a study which included drawing a horse from reference photo and busts where I analysed artstyles of 3 equine artist who fall into 3 different spectrums:
Jenery her artstyle represent the cartoony side. However, unlike cartoons, she uses shadows to add extra little details.
Morrigan_The_Marwari whose artstyle focuses on anatomical accuracy and you can see all the detail you would otherwise miss.
FaeSeiren Sketchy, mix of cartoony and anatomically accurate. To be honest: Bust based on her artstyle was most comfortable to me because it resembles the way how I doodle.
(Now I doubt about my chances for my chances in artstyle challenge 😂)
I recomment whose artists if you don't know them.
And yea... Now you can see what I would like to circa go with. Note: The mane of the thoroughbred mare is transparent - I wanted the forehead and the neck to be visible.
