One of two personal pieces I'll be completing this month.
Maraschino likes to cause mischief as we all know, but she herself isn't spared from the mischief made by other magical creatures either! Even though Faeries have plenty of magical means to protect their homes from outside beings, what's native to their region is much harder to get control of or keep out. Cherry Sprites make their homes in Maraschino's orchard, and delight in eating the same juicy fruit that she does. A particularly bold Sprite has no problem flying past and stealing a cherry right out of her hand!
Cherry Sprites are creatures I came up with last year, based heavily on Red Pandas, with insect wings and horns. I had started designing several named Sprites but that project got set aside when I got busy with other things, and I'm only just now picking back up with them. I'd like to do more with them eventually so you may see them pop up again from time to time.
