Hey everyone!
i had a cute idea in mind for a traditional drawing of Twilight Sparkle, Sunburst and Starlight Glimmer all together reading a book in complete excitedment!... At least the first two share that passion while Starlight seems a bit out of place here.
I was inspired by the episode "Uncommon Bond" where we see Sunburst having a lot of things in common with other friends of Starlight, instead of sharing similarities with her all that much. In the episode, he'd totally flip out over antiques and old books with Twilight while Starlight just trotted along with them, hoping to fit in in a way. This is what I wanted to portray here and show the cute, happy faces of Twilight and Sunburst^^ I enjoyed the sketch so much already and I'm so glad how it turned out!
I must admit that purple still is the hardest colour for me to work with when it comes to brushmarker work and it showed. Twilight was such a challenge for me to do as her coat colour was "bleeding" with a lot of ink and turned way too dark, which is why I had to "safe" it with coloured pencils at the end. However, mixing these two techniques really makes a difference and rounds up the piece so well! Overall it turned out lovely and I'm proud of the result! What do you think and who of the three do you like most?^^
