Hoihoi all! A month and a bit ago I was asked by Pudding Earl if I wanted to take place in a large Warhammer Tabletop battle (6th Edition). Three versus three! Intimidating for sure as I've only done one battle before;
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/51670392/
But after being reassured that there would be other relative new commers I decided why not! It could be fun after all and even if I lost I'm sure it would be fun and I would learn something! But this is not the initial list I made. That and the adjusted one will be in scraps shortly after this one. But the initial army list I made, 2500 max, I did a practice battle against Pudding and it went pretty poorly with my big ticket item failing pretty badly because I did not know how the magic power dice worked too well. Feel free to check out that submission if you would like to know more.
But after that failure I had two main routes to take to improve the list; one, and in scraps with the initial list, was to go all in on Skaven power dice with as many spell casters as I could bring with the limit of one Lord. So I could only bring in one Grey Seer. So I tried to shove in as many other casters as I could and then fill in what I had left. This never really seemed to look good to me and a few of the more experienced players were hesitant about the idea as well. Skaven seem to need more points, more Lords really, to make their spellcaster truely threatening. Especially against other magic heavy teams with their dispell dice. So I decided to go the other way with no magic more stab-kill power! And so I decided to make a Mange Private Army! With mercs from other main clans but a focus on the martial might of a 'loving' father and his sons. The basic idea was the Warlord would be with the Stormvermin, and a Chief each leading a unit of Clanrats. With the other army units being more spread out.

And after the list was decided on I was asked to make a little narrative background of our force and how they ended up heading toward the mountains to siege the dwarven stronghold where the battle would take place, so I did that as well! Being some Mange characters some of them may show up later in a Chief Word story idea I have. As Chief likely knows about these rats - hells he may have worked under them before! Would be a tense meeting for sure. As may some of the rats in the other two lists but they are more of a maybe.

A mix of blue and purple sparks would ignite off the Blade as the whetstone was drawn across it. Leaving a deep gouge in the stone which just made Haskir smirk, showing off his namesake teeth as he did so, the blade still had much killing in its future. And the sharpness had not even shown signs of waning throughout all his battles. This was just more of a formality. And a way to kill time.
"W... Warlord-master Tooth?" A slave stammered as he was held off the ground by one of Haskirs Storm vermin. The weakling had been hanging there for a minute so far. But Haskir thought it best to make them wait. See the blade that had allowed him to climb so high in Mange before he finally turned on the stool and pointed the slightly damp looking Delirium blade at the unfortunate messenger. Giving it a flick and clipping the whiskers off the left side of the Slaves face. The iron paw holding the scruff of his neck not even budging as the slave squirmed and squealed before the Warlord finally spoke.
"I am not interested in listening to your squeal-fright Slave. What message-order do you have." The flat of the blade sliding under the petrified rats chin to now be poised to cut off the other whiskers. The Slave just trying not to move as he stammered out the order.
"Master Tooth! Eshin-clan has reported that the Dwarf-things artifact has been found!" The blade lowering as Longtooth stood up, immediately interested. The Slave quickly continuing. "A fortress-home in the Mountains. And Eshin-clan report that many force-armies are mustering as we speak-chitter!" Haskir turning away from the Slave as he started to pace, idly spinning Delirium at his side as considered this new information.
"Both Dwarf-thing allies and enemies?" The Slave nodding as Haskir picked up a bell from the table where his half-eaten Halfling was strew over before ringing it. The Stormvermin holding the slave fully entering the Mange branded tent to stand to the side as a short time later three massive Chieftains would enter the tent. All three of them dropping to one knee before they held up sinister looking blades of their own.
"Our loyalty-lives to Tooth-Master!" That all chanted in unison as Haskir just smiled. What wonderful son-spawn he had. Before he stomped a foot. The three standing and sheathing their enchanted blades as they stood ready to receive their orders. The Warlord nodding at the now petite looking Storm vermin holding the Slave who pulled out a Mange bandana and soon had it wrapped around the still held aloft Slaves neck.
"We have a target-goal." His sons red eyes gleaming under their helmets as they thought of all the prestige and breeding opportunities they would soon have. But they held their tongues as their father continued. "The artifact has finally stopped move-running. And is now being held-guarded in a fortress. Soon it will be ours!" The Chiefs thumping gauntleted paws into their chests as their musk started to rise. The time of battle was soon to come! Before Haskir turned to the slave. "The Dwarf-thing enemies, do we know who they are?"
The Slave, if he realized that he had just been brought into the Mange war band, didn't show a sign of it as he nodded. "Chaos-spawn Master-Warlord! The blue-beaked birds and more of their magic-whiskers!" And after a pause he seemed to add as an afterthought. "And goblins." That got a muffled chuckled out of Oluk before he went silent staring ahead. Haskir nodding at this as he spun the blade some more. Considering the forces their mages would hopefully be able to break down the wall the Dwarves would undoubtedly use. And while they were enemies of the Dwarves Haskir had no doubt that they would not be his allies. They were not honorable Mange Shaven. Distrustful Chaos and worthless Goblins. Once the Dwarves and whatever fools were going to help them were dead, and preferably eaten, he would likely need to fight the mages to hold onto the artifact. The goblins would be dead by the end of the battle anyway. Pointing outside Haskirs' sons would spread to allow their father past before everyone followed him outside.
The Mange war band currently picking through the remains of the Halfling celebration they had crashed as the Clan rats were occasionally fighting with each other over the best loot. The Slaves tending to the more organized Storm vermin, as everyone gave their hired Skryre teams a wide berth. Better for everyone. The cannon crews diligently working on the sparking crystals as the Jezzials adjusted their scopes. But upon the arrival of their Warlord the assembled forces fell silent and stood to hear his address. Before the sword was pointed up at the mountains. The Rat Ogres already champing at the bit before Haskir had even spoken.
"The Dwarf-thing Artifact has finally been found-seen!" The Slave finally put down as he skittered behind the Fang leader who had been holding him. "But more fools move to stand-fight between us and our goal-prize!" Mutterings and growls from the Skaven in attendance. "And dishonorable enemies of the Dwarf-things move to steal our reward!" Shouting out as the musk and rage started to rise. "We move-march now! Fight-kill with Dwarf-thing enemies! Then wipe-clear out those enemies. Prize will be ours! Only ours!" Spears, swords, and rifles held high with a cheer as the Shaven rapidly broke camp. Beginning the march into the mountains. The bandanna wearing Slave up front directing the troops as the normal Slaves broke down the old camp as quick as they could before running after the force.
Mange was on route. Haskir doubted any of the whisker-wagglers had the mind for command. So was already thinking of scheme-plans and discussing them with his sons during the march. To not only wipe out and eat the Dwarf-things, but how to backstab their allies of circumstance once victory had been assured.

Unfortunately at the moment the big game is on indefinite hold due to a few players backing out and Pudding Earl having lost some drive. Perhaps in the future it will happen again but wanted to share what I had so far! Hopefully I made a decent little Mange force with the points and limited knowledge I have.
