Really just because she is not the most smartest pony of the world does not mean she is a joke. Being "slow" never stopped people to do amazing thing. At the worst she could be the Forrest gump of Ponyville, and if she is not that slow as we all think but just silly, well hey if Pinky Pie can do it(even if she is technically a genius in many fields, expecially mechanicals) everyone can do.
