I’ve been feeling a little under the weather recently, so drawing has been a bit difficult. But whenever I do feel like crap, I like to watch shows that bring me comfort, usually cartoons. And I managed to get into a show called The Ghost and Molly McGee. Long story short, I binged and finished the episodes that are out and now I made a kin/comfort sona based off one of the main characters, Scratch. It’s been a while since I’ve gotten into a show, and while I was skeptical of it, I fell in love. So now, here’s my new boi, Spike.

A lot of his personality is based on Scratch, so he’s grumpy, lazy, and a huge glutton. But I also added some extra stuff on him to really help me connect with him. Spike is a European Burmese/Maine coon mix and was 53 when he died. He doesn’t really remember his time alive or how he died, except the vague feeling of grief whenever he tries to think about it.

He lives in Nightmoure, a (fictional) town in Michigan in a two story home. Which, he now shares with a deer family that moved in. Initially, he tried to scare them out of his house, but has slowly warmed up to them. Spike is a bit of an acquired taste when it comes to his personality and attitude, since he’s a recluse and a rather rude one as well. Since having his space occupied by a family, he’s gradually taken on the “cranky uncle“ role.
