This roll of hay was sitting in an empty lot less than a mile from my house. I took a few instruments down there and this shot of my Ibanez spalted maple bass turned out the best.
If you look through my gallery, it is apparent that I like shooting closeups of musical instruments. But for my second book of guitar photos, I decided to get them out “in the wild” for for some full-body photos.

It amuses me how at home this fine electric instrument seems in this warm, rustic setting. No amplifiers, cables or anything.
I would love to see at least a few more of your instruments in settings like these; you've hit on a very nice concept here, and don't be surprised if I steal ( oooff I mean borrow ) the idea.
