Do the couplers on that orange (Marx?) caboose mate with traditional Lionel knuckle couplers? They look like dummy couplers, but I've never known anyone to attempt to hitch them together.

Marx, and they can be made to mate, but it takes a bit of finagling. Benz Trainz on YT had a video on it, don't know if it's still up. :)

Nice selection! I love cabooses! here is my all time favorite in my collection, https://sta.sh/0fhnnqdnndx The M&StL you have next to the orange Marx came in my first train set for Christmas in 1965. I still have it and the whole set. Lionel Trains are my first collecting love and I hope to have a building put soon up so I can build the huge layout I envisioned as a teenager. that has always been #1 on my bucket list.

My first Lionel caboose was a brown M&StL, circa 1967. I think my nephews still have it. :)
