Want to follow more in depth updates on my plush making adventures? I have a facebook page dedicated to it!
Frog number 2 is finished, and I dub thee 'Grog'.
Grog is much bigger than my last frog, and that has presented some challenges!
My seams have bunched much more than my previous frog because there is more fabric to deal with and I was unaware about adding darts to prevent that. The much more obvious problem is the poor guy has some back problems he needs to see a doctor about. In my goal to make a fatter frog I made the additional fabric on the top pattern too wide.
Though, Grog has taught me some useful stitching techniques I will use going forward, so the thread is not as visible on the seams when the plush is turned the right side out. I also found a method of making a much more uniform eyebrow.
Initially I thought his flat face was a downside, though the morei look at it the more endearing it is, what do you think?
Onto the next frog!
