"You're late." He says, as if he expected such from her. Its not like she tried to be late! Plus she never saw that rock she tripped in on, thankfully he caught the cake though. Besides who the heck puts a rock inside the tavern!? This was a ploy to make her look bad or to try make it look like she was trying to splat him in the face with the cake.

"Even if I as late to make it to you with the cake; I still came! I had to go do shit on personal side missions... Why are you looking at me like that? I didn't mean to trip! Don't judge me damn it.... I hate when you look so disappointed in me." She pouted, but he didn't say anything. Just looked at the cake.

"Chocolate, my favorite." He says quietly.
Wait, really? Chocolate was his favorite? She anticipated something like Rum Cake or something akin to that. "I love chocolate ... its my favorite also." She tries a nervous smile and then sits down to relax on the tavern's couch that they always sat on.
