Any time I'm doing color work, I always have a piece of the same type of paper as I'm working with to test markers on. Most colors will be shaded with three others to give the effect I want, so I test each color on the page. It's important to choose the same paper because different paper types will react differently for your markers.
This particular page lasted me about, um, five pictures that I can think of off the top of my head.

I saw your marker test panels at All Fur Fun and was envious. Very nice indeed. I should do something like that as well, but these marker test sheets mostly come in handy when I'm trying to decide what colors react best with each other for the effect I want. What will Dark Tan do to Sand? Or Sand on top of Dark Tan? Let's try it.
Nah, it's just a piece of blotter index card stock. It's done its job so I'll start a new one. I don't hold on to them. Markers change over time so you get slightly different shades. I can't count on two markers to be the same a few months from now, so premade marker test sheets wouldn't help.
