If you’re an artist, get your tablets and pens ready cause I need some help redesign some characters.

These characters here are named Andrew, Stacy, Isabelle, and Melvin.

They were not actually a piece of artwork that was released to the public nor part in any future animations, but instead it’s actually an experiment curated by me. Experimenting with different art styles!

And I was experimenting on some anime art styles, some of them we’re decent and nice looking. While others looked a bit messy and not to my liking! This one was both good with the eyes, and the coloring especially with the lines. But the only thing I didn’t like is the designs of the characters and the anatomy of Melvin (The one with the argyle printed vest).

Melvin’s arms look like there about to be pulled out of his body, has bulked up shoulders, and in fact he’s got like the body shape of a wooden plank.

Now as for the designs, I know some of you who are wondering “What’s wrong with the character designs? They look fine.” Yeah they may look decent on one hand, but on the other hand they’re not original.

For example Andrew (The blonde kid), kinda looks like Dipper Pines from Gravity Falls minus the maple leaf design on his hat. Stacy’s (The girl with green hair) shape of her face, the look, her hair is very similar to Nawnii’s old talk sprites. Isabelle (The girl with purple hair) looks like someone put Princess Ash and Kokona (Yandere Simulator) in a blender and put her in a hoodie then a turtleneck sweater. As for Melvin… No!

Now I need some help trying to figure out how I would revamp these characters and bring them to a more modern demographic.

Now here are some details I would like to add before you start redesigning.

These characters are in an academic school for all ages, these characters are tween-ish kids. Andrew is 13, Stacy is 14, Isabelle is 15, and Melvin is also 13.

Now time for the makeover!

Andrew would keep the blonde hair and skin tone, but his eye color should be a bit darker. His style of clothing should match his personality… Fun, outdoorsy, and very welcoming to the public.

Stacy should ditch the green hair and be a natural redhead with hazel eyes, her choice of clothes should be soft and cute. Considering the fact she’s a bit shy but an extrovert.

Isabelle… Let’s see here… Brunette and blue eyes! Her clothing should be inspired by every early 2010 movies set in school. To be specific, Peyton List as Holly from Wimpy Kid Rodrick Rules. However some occasions she can be a bit like Gretchen Wieners from Mean Girls, judging by her facial expression she can be a bit open minded and judgmental.

Finally we have Melvin, I wanna keep the glasses and the hairstyle. Except the color of his hair should be faded and black, in addition to the color of his eyes as brown as dark chocolate. For his outfit, he should have a bit of a nerdy look. Considering the fact he’s smart and a genius when it comes to school subjects. Like keep the vest but give him some different colors.
