orochi told me tonight, that Sunday is the start of the Roman festival of Lupercalia (since I've no reason to celebrate Valentine's Day).

According to Wikipedia, Lupercalia was an ancient Roman festival "to avert evil spirits and purify the city, releasing health and fertility. " - and also in honor to Lupa, the she-wolf who suckled Romulus and Remus.

Like most ancient Roman festivals, it involved a lot of running naked in the streets. They must have had good weather. XD

But my first reaction to hearing "Lupercalia" was "Lupercalifragilisticexpialidocious!" hence this picture.

I made Mary Poppins an anthropomorphic Lupa.

I was originally gonna crop this down to just the image area, but I liked the chalk/watercolor look to the edges enough to leave it as is.
