So, yeah - funny story.

TW: Severe Injury, though very light on the details.

I was working on this last night, when I heard a cry of pain outside my window. A young man had been badly hurt by a (100% blameless) bike accident with his friend. First aid training kicked in. I ran out with my trusty towel.

I won't go into the details... but suffice to say, it was a very bloody affair and it's a miracle I just happened to be at my desk, beside my window, on the street where it happened. There was a VERY short time window to stabilise him - it was one of those kinds of injuries. We got him successfully and safely away in an ambulance. They did surgery through the night, and the kid made it. He's eating and sleeping now, we hear. <3

So, yeah.

Firstly, if I hadn't been working on this page, I don't know if I'd have been 'keyed up' enough to respond to such an injury as quickly as I did.

Second, it left me with a LOT to process, which means it's a damn fine thing I have these pages to process over in the next few days! Sorry/Not sorry if there's a LOT of emotion in the pages XD

All in all : I'm really glad I happened to be working on this page, at this time! Yay for Wolf comics.
