Gorgon was the 30th Dark Horror Army Robot Kaiju used by the Zelans as the Monster of the week in the 26th episode of the Dino Mecha Gaiking Anime: "The Pegasus that runs through Space".

_Appearances and Abilities_
Just like the creature of Myth, Gorgon is a Multi-head monster: it's Body and face resembling a lion, but with two long neck Dragon heads instead of a Goat and Serpent. It was gray and dark green in color, with green necks, the latter adorn with light gray spikes ending in a bird like (robotic) head with a protruding lower jaw and a single curved horn on top; while the one on top the lion's head was lizard, brown in color, with two yellow horns. Each Feet had three claws in it.

Gorgon's dragon heads could breath intense fire and the fore-Dragon head could fire a Pink color laser beam from its eyes. The Monster's Lion face could blast a powerful tornado from the mouth, derived of the Death Cross Phenomenon, which also had the power to altered the density and form of a Metal Substance that was form from this attack, allowing it to create defenses strong enough to block the attacks of the Entire Daiku Maryu and its Compliment of Mechas, as well throw these at it.

Gorgon may had been the Monster that could had defeated Team Daiku Maryu, if hadn't been for the sacrifice of Perla and its Pegasus; two Robots created by the Alien Scientist Danaon of Planet Pigeon, meant to help the heroes in their fight against the Dark Horror Arm and are the principle focus of the plot for the whole episode.

_Story_
The events starts with the Zelan Grotestars vessels pursuing a smaller one heading towards Earth, as it is carrying a reported weapon too much of a threat to them. On board it, an old man (Danaon) knowing that time is running out, asks the child (Perla) to enter combat with its Pegasus, with the latter too reluctant to act in violence. This forces the Senior to open up the child's emotions Circuits, revealing him to be a Robot, but before he could shut these downs, their ship is itself shutdown by the Generals and crashes in the Alps.

This incident attracts the attention of Team Daiku Maryu, who travels to the site to investigate – specially when Midori telepathically perceive a called for help, reminding thae last time this happened it was with people of Pigeon coming to pick her up. This is confirm once they find the crash site and the occupants, though the old man lays dying; with his last breath, Danaon introduces himself as a Scientist from Pigeon who came to Earth to provide them a weapon to fight the Zelans – asking that they protect Perla, Danaon passes away from his wounds, much to the distraught of the child, who cries over the body of his creator – this is when everyone realizes by looking at his open chest he is a Robot.

Later, on board the Daiku Maryu, the staff studies Dr. Danaon's plans of Perla and Pegasus, Daimonji concludes both are a powerful weapon, to the surprise of the staff and crew – the reason been the Dark Horror Army is now in pursuit of the Pigeonians, forcing them to develop Weapons Programs and Danaon's research leading to the creation of the Pegasus, capable of unleashing a Fire ball ten times hotter than Gaiking's Hydro Blazer, and the Android Perla, meant to control it; however the constant use of the term weapon and defective to describe Perla irks Midori, who refuses to believe the child is such after witnessing him been capable of feelings in the wake of the death of his creator and leaves the meeting room, Daimonji understanding her emotions on the matter. Meanwhile, Killer comes to learn that the search party he sent to retrieve the Weapon from the crash found nothing on site, concluding its on the hands of the Daiku Maryu and thus it must be found and destroyed.

Back at the Lighthouse base, Perla leaves flowers to the tombstone of Danaon, Midori socialize with him to ease his sorrow and befriends him in a Sibling bond, while Daimonji and Sakon see that, just as Danaon's notes indicated, the Pegasus will not activate unless doing so to Perla.

In the meantime, Midori and Perla ride a horse in a friendly competition with Hachiro; riding while ahead and enjoying the sites of the woods, they come under attack from Dark Avian Troops; Hachiro runs back to warn the others. As Midori and Perla try to escape, the boy is fired upon by the fiends, burning his clothes off and revealing its a Robot – the Avians continue their pursuit of Midori who seeks their attention away from Perla, but when cornered, her calls for help forces the Boy to deactivate its Emotion Circuits, transforming into a Combat android, more robot and adult like in appearance, but devoid of emotions and cold stoned face. It runs and beats the Avians to the shock of Midori seeing Perla's cold eyes and how ruthlessly beats one of the villains, stopping only on request of Midori – the other members arrive and reactivate the Emotion circuit, reverting Perla back to his gentle child form, but with Midori now showing distance from him, calling him much later "A Cold Machine with no blood in its Veins"; his cold face been the thing that terryfied her the most. Later, a distraught Perla passes by the command room, over hearing the others about his Emotions Circuits.

The surviving Avian returns and reports to the Generals of this revelation and realizing the weapon they've been after was a child robot, the General unleashed the Dark Horror Kaiju Gorgon onto the Acropolis in Athens and kills the tourists on sight; the Daiku Maryu flies to battle; arriving on site, it begins combat, but Gorgon block its Dragon Cutter with its Tornado breath, then halts the ship itself with its strong winds. It then begins to forms Rocks of Super Dense matter and fires the pieces hitting the Daiku Maryu; Pete fires Miracle Drills but these are destroyed when hitting a super dense wall made by Gorgon; the Giant Cutter also failed to break through the wall. Realizing there is no way to fight this, Daimonji orders Pete to retreat, but the Beast flings the Rocks causing damage to the hull of the ship; Gaiking is launched, but its weapons prove to be less effective than the Daiku Maryu's; Skylar and Bazolar are launched to provide assistance, but prove to be even less effective than Gaiking.

With everyone's lives on the line, this causes a crisis with in Perla, knowing he holds the key to save them but held back by his own cowardice; his opinion on the matter changes when one of the Rocks breaches through the ship, seeing the crushed bodies of two Crew Members as well the efforts from the Emergency crew to fight the flames; Perla runs to the Pegasus at the Hangar, deciding whether to shutdown his emotion or not; his movements are reported to all in the Control Room, Midori, now holding a baggage of regret for her harsh words, runs to stop him but despite her efforts, Perla takes off before his escape is blocked by the Volution Protect Mode.

Looking at the Daiku Maryu while been assaulted by the Monster, Perla bids Farewell to Midori, who looks from the control room, as Perla and Pegasus dashed towards the Monster with their full Power in display; Gorgon tries to block the attack with a Super Dense Wall, but Perla and Pegasus break through it with ease and smashing through the Lion's face, the impact destroying Perla in and Pegasus in the process. Finding his chance, Sanshiro uses Hydro Blazer throw onto the Monster, Destroying what's left of the Gorgon.

When Midori and the others come out, they find Perla, dead and torn apart, leaving her distraught; as Sakon gives a closer inspection, they all come to see Perla made this decision without shutting his emotions down, thus his death been a noble act sacrifice to save Midori and the others rather than cold logical calculation of a machine. Midori then uses her scarf (which appears out of nowhere by the way) and covers the broken child; with tears in her eyes, she carries Perla to the Ruins of the Acropolis to see the sunset.
