The Happiest.
MOST WELL ADJUSTED.
PICTURE OF ADRIANNA VANHESSER.
EVER.
Her VanHesser Industrial MK III Thermo-Pneumatic Prosthetic Gauntlet is finally done, after almost a decade of focussed, obsessive toil. It's almost as versatile as a real hand. Though she won't be playing piano anytime soon, she can sip a cup of tea, write almost legibly, and adequately wield a NORMAL weapon, albeit without quite as much potential acrobatic finesse as most furres. This hand, in terms of dexterity, relying on the experience, skill, and technical insight of its builder, allows her to live like a normal person again for the first time since over half of her entire life ago.
Feeling normal.. never felt so profoundly satisfying, as it did to her. A big chunk of the crazy that had infected her mind for years and years and years is now trapped in the elegantly shaped and meticulously crafted steel, ceramic, resin, and leather that now, for the first time, adequately replaces the right arm she lost so very long ago.
and she's happy. Not mad with delight, not reeling in ecstasy, but just... satisfied. I can't remember the last time she felt like that. Neither can she. It feels like an entire era has come to an end, at least for her... and now she can take the knowledge she gained, and use it to change the world. Or at least, she hopes to!
